    Welcome to Tarbell for Cincinnati.

Welcome to our web site. This site offers you the opportunity to learn more about former Cincinnati Councilmember and Vice Mayor, Jim Tarbell.

Mr. Tarbell was first appointed to City Council in 1998, to replace retiring Charterite Bobbie Sterne and was re-elected in 1999, 2001, 2003, and 2005. In 2005, Tarbell was appointed Vice Mayor by Mark Mallory, the newly elected Mayor of Cincinnati.

Because of term limits, Jim could not run for re-election in the November 2007 election. Tarbell stepped down from Cincinnati City Council on September 3rd, 2007, due to term limits, and appointed Roxanne Qualls to finish his term.

Qualls, a former Democratic councilwoman and Mayor, who's returning to politics after stepping down because of term limits in 1999, is endorsed by the Charter Committee, Cincinnati's oldest independent political party.

Roxanne Qualls was a three-term Mayor of the City of Cincinnati, having served from December 1993 to November 1999. She also served a two-year term on Cincinnati City Council prior to her mayoralty service, having been elected in 1991.
